About us
About OSD
OSD is housed in the Bank’s Operations Directorate that generates and executes the lending business of the Bank. The role of OSD is to ensure that operations are processed in accordance with Bank policies and procedures (so as to minimise operational risk) and to help front-line staff in their daily operational activities related to this. OSD advises the OPS Directors General in all aspects of its work. Important areas where OSD advises and supports OPS colleagues are AML/CFT and tax due diligence, prudential/credit policies and pricing, value added/additionality, environmental and social policies, sector policies etc.
OSD owns the OPS procedures and is responsible for the development and implementation of OPS’ internal control framework. OSD furthermore has financial and quantitative (modelling) expertise that supports the business in various ways, e.g. pricing, profitability and cost coverage, capital consumption, structured operations and the like. OSD also supports the operational systems of the Bank, and interfaces with IT to ensure proper operational systems are in place to conduct the business.
Last but not least, as a recognised international leader in climate, OSD has a Climate Office that represents OPS in the area of climate policy and is responsible for the operationalisation of the Bank’s new climate strategy in terms of the developing, guiding and piloting new green products.
OSD has close to 100 professionals that may combine their diverse expert backgrounds and skills with front-line business experience, often in a financial institution.
